The DS3102GN2 is a versatile timing IC designed for telecom applications, supporting synchronization for Stratum 2, 3E, 3, 4E, and 4, as well as SMC, SEC, and EEC standards. It meets the requirements of GR-1244, GR-253, G.812 Types I-IV, G.813, and G.8262. The device features eight input clocks, including four CMOS/TTL inputs (up to 125MHz) and four LVDS/LVPECL/CMOS/TTL inputs (up to 156.25MHz), allowing for a wide range of input clock frequencies. The DS3102 also provides seven output clocks, with three CMOS/TTL outputs (up to 125MHz) and two LVDS/LVPECL outputs (up to 312.50MHz), along with dual output options. Key functionalities include programmable bandwidth from 0.5mHz to 400Hz, hitless reference switching, and automatic or manual phase build-out. The device continuously monitors input clock quality and supports various clock frequencies for SONET/SDH, Ethernet, and PDH applications. It operates within an industrial temperature range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C and utilizes a 1.8V supply with 3.3V I/O compatibility. The DS3102 is suitable for use in timing card equipment for WAN applications, including routers, switches, and wireless base stations.
