The Microchip Technology 47L04/47C04/47L16/47C16 series is a family of 4-Kbit and 16-Kbit I¬=C serial EERAM devices that combine SRAM with EEPROM backup. These devices are organized as 512x8 bits for the 4-Kbit variants and 2,048x8 bits for the 16-Kbit variants. They operate within a voltage range of 2.7V to 3.6V for the 47L models and 4.5V to 5.5V for the 47C models, with a maximum clock frequency of 1 MHz. Key features include automatic data storage to EEPROM upon power loss, manual and software-controlled store operations, and a nonvolatile external event detect flag. The devices support high-speed I¬=C communication with zero cycle delay for reads and writes, and they are designed for high reliability with infinite read/write cycles to SRAM and over one million store cycles to EEPROM, along with data retention exceeding 200 years. The 47XXX series is available in various package types, including 8-lead PDIP, SOIC, and TSSOP, and is qualified for industrial (-40¬8C to +85¬8C) and extended (-40¬8C to +125¬8C) temperature ranges. Additionally, the devices are AEC-Q100 qualified, making them suitable for automotive applications.
