The Microchip 24AA014/24LC014 is a 1Kbit Serial EEPROM designed for operation in a temperature range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C. It features a single-supply voltage range from 1.7V to 5.5V, making it suitable for low-power applications with a typical active current of 1 mA and standby current of 1 ¬µA. The memory is organized as a single block of 128 bytes (128 x 8 bits) and supports a 2-wire I¬=C compatible serial interface with clock frequencies of 100 kHz and 400 kHz. This EEPROM includes hardware write protection for the entire memory array, a page write buffer capable of handling up to 16 bytes, and a self-timed write cycle with a maximum write cycle time of 5 ms. It allows for the connection of up to eight devices on the same bus, enabling a total of 8 Kbits of contiguous memory. The device boasts a high endurance of 1,000,000 erase/write cycles and offers data retention exceeding 200 years. It is available in multiple package types, including 8-lead PDIP, SOIC, TSSOP, DFN, TDFN, MSOP, and a 6-lead SOT-23 package, and is compliant with RoHS standards.
