The TIP42A is a PNP bipolar transistor for general-purpose switching and amplification applications, housed in a TO-220AB package with dimensions of 14.22-15.88 mm in height, 9.65-10.67 mm in width, and 12.70-14.73 mm in lead spacing. It has a collector-emitter voltage rating of -60 V, a continuous collector current of -6 A, and a power dissipation of 65 W at 25°C.
