The Metrosep Carb 2 Guard/2.0 is a guard column designed for use with the Metrosep Carb 2 analytical column in ion chromatography, specifically for 2.0 mm inner diameter systems. It features a PEEK housing and a polystyrene-divinylbenzene copolymer substrate with quaternary ammonium groups, with a particle size of 5 µm. It operates within a pH range of 0-14 and is compatible with eluents containing 0-50% acetonitrile or methanol, and samples containing 0-100% acetone, acetonitrile, or methanol. The guard column is intended to protect the analytical column from contaminants and extends its operational life. It is designed for use with the 100/2.0, 150/2.0, and 250/2.0 analytical columns and shares their maximum pressure limit of 20 MPa and temperature range of 20-60°C.
