The VS-301 is a low-frequency underwater vector sensor designed for measuring acoustic pressure and particle acceleration in three orthogonal axes. It features a combination of three high-sensitivity accelerometers and one omni-directional hydrophone, providing a significant improvement in signal-to-noise ratio. The sensor operates within a frequency response of 3.0 Hz to 2.0 kHz for the accelerometer and 8.0 Hz to 2.0 kHz for the hydrophone. With a full-scale input range of 0.5 g peak for the accelerometer and 200 Pa peak for the hydrophone, the VS-301 is capable of handling operational pressures up to 800 psi and absolute maximum pressures of 1,200 psi. It requires a power supply of 6.5 to 12.0 VDC and consumes a nominal current of 40 mA. The sensor has a differential output with a 3.2 V bias and a maximum output impedance of 100 Ω. The operating temperature range is from -10°C to +60°C, and the sensor has a compact design with a diameter of 0.80 inches and a length of 3.37 inches. Weighing 43 grams without cables, it is constructed from polyurethane and has a buoyancy of -68% in water. The VS-301 comes with six cables, each 15 feet long, and offers options for different connectors and cable lengths.
