The XR3086XEDTR-F is a high-performance RS-485/RS-422 transceiver designed for robust operation in noisy industrial environments. It features a fault tolerance of ±18V on analog bus pins and offers enhanced ESD protection, rated at ±15kV for air gap discharge and ±8kV for contact discharge. The device provides a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) that is 40% higher than standard RS-485/422 devices, which allows for improved communication over longer cable lengths. This transceiver supports data rates up to 20 Mbps and operates within a supply voltage range of +4.5V to +5.5V. It includes fail-safe circuitry that guarantees a logic-high output under various fault conditions, such as open or shorted inputs.
