Master Bond Polymer System EP38 is a fast curing, low viscosity, optically clear two component epoxy system for high performance coating, bonding and sealing. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any volatiles. The mix ratio is a convenient 3 to 1 by weight. EP38 is very fast curing. Coatings as thin as 6 mils become tack free in only 3 hours and fully cure in 8-10 hours at ambient temperatures. They will even become tack free at 40°F within 9 hours. The EP38 features outstanding boiling water resistance and resist exposures to many other chemicals. Other desirable characteristics include resistance to blushing and exudation, good electrical insulation properties, high toughness, and superior wear resistance. Service temperature range is -65°F to 275°F. EP38 has a unique balance of favorable physical strengths, optical clarity, electrical insulation characterics and unexcelled resistance to boiling water exposures as well as to many other aggressive chemicals. It is a prime candidate for premium clear decorative wood and metal coatings, maintenance finishes, linings for metal, concrete, cement, fiberglass, composites and plastics, tanks, drums, pipes and fittings.
