KobraKoils® are coiled steel cables. Either galvanized, stainless or plastic coated cables can be coiled as shown in the illu strations below. They are available in any length up to 30 ft. and if plastic coated in any color. KobraKoils® are available in a variety of Koil diameters de pending on diameter of the cable from which it is constructed. See chart below. KobraKoils® can be terminated with just about any type of hardware. Special fittings can be designed if a standard fitting isn't available. A 7" long KobraKoil® stretches easily to ten feet in the smaller diameters. As tension is relaxed it snaps back to its original KobraKoil® form. The bicycle lock cable illustrated is 3/16" 7x7 galvanized cable coated with vinyl to an outside diameter of 5/16". Fully extended it is 6 ft. long, when fully retracted is only 6" long (including looped ends). KobraKoils are finding new applications every week, some of the successful uses to date have been bicycle locks, tool balancers, dog leashes, trailer safety cables, restraint cables and retractable tie down cables.
