The M18 high-temperature level sensor is a non-flush mount capacitive level detector with a cast aluminum housing and PTFE sensing face, rated for operation from -30°C to +125°C and a pressure of up to 10 bar. It operates on 10 to 35 V DC, has a switching frequency of 5 Hz, and provides a 100 mA output with residual current under 200 µA. The sensor includes a yellow LED for output indication, is protected against polarity reversal and short circuits, and meets IP67 overall and IP68 at the sensing surface. It complies with IEC 60947-5-2 and carries CE approval. Adjustment is made via a potentiometer, and the sensor is rated for contamination scale 3.
High-temperature tolerant capacitives are especially suitable for applications where the sensor head is exposed to extreme temperatures, or comes directly into contact with hot materials. These sensors are used as level detectors for liquids and bulk goods, or choose the cylindrical series for non-contact proximity detection in high heat environments.
