The MSM11W6 is a solid-state delay-on-make time relay with a fixed 1-second delay, designed for OEM applications requiring reliable, maintenance-free operation. It operates on 12VDC and features standard wire leads of length 6.0 inches (152.4 mm) with a removable mounting bracket. The relay has a solid-state output with a maximum load current of 0.5 A at 25°C and 0.25 A at 60°C, a voltage drop of approximately 2.5 V at 0.5 A, and immediate reset upon power removal. The circuitry is totally encapsulated, providing protection against shock, vibration, and humidity. It meets a dielectric breakdown rating of at least 2000 V RMS between input and mounting surface and operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C. Repeat accuracy is ±5%, with a factory calibration tolerance of ±15%.
The MSM replaces bi-metal type timing with reliable solid-state circuitry. There are no moving parts to arc or wear. It is a cost effective solution for OEM designers. It is available for printed circuit board mounting or surface mounting with a removable bracket and wire leads. The MSM offers immediate reset on removal of power. Operation (Delay-on-Make)The time delay begins upon application of input voltage. The output is de-energized before and during the time delay. At the end of the time delay, the output energizes and remains energized until input voltage is removed.Reset: Removing input voltage resets the time delay and output.
