The MSM110W6 is a delay-on-make time delay relay with solid-state circuitry, no moving parts, and immediate reset on power removal. It operates on 12VDC with a fixed 10-second time delay and uses standard wire leads 6.0 inches (152.4 mm) long. The relay is designed for PCB or wire harness mounting, features totally encapsulated circuitry for protection against shock, vibration, and humidity, and supports a maximum load current of 0.5A at 25°C. Input voltage tolerance is ±10%, and the repeat accuracy is ±5%. Operating temperature ranges from -20°C to 60°C. The output is a normally open solid-state contact with a voltage drop of approximately 2.5V at 0.5A.
The MSM replaces bi-metal type timing with reliable solid-state circuitry. There are no moving parts to arc or wear. It is a cost effective solution for OEM designers. It is available for printed circuit board mounting or surface mounting with a removable bracket and wire leads. The MSM offers immediate reset on removal of power. Operation (Delay-on-Make)The time delay begins upon application of input voltage. The output is de-energized before and during the time delay. At the end of the time delay, the output energizes and remains energized until input voltage is removed.Reset: Removing input voltage resets the time delay and output.
