The FPS-CTU-03-00 is a control unit within the FPS Feeder Protection System designed for advanced monitoring and protection of electrical feeders. It supports RS-485 and Profibus® communication protocols, allowing for integration into various network configurations. The unit can handle voltage inputs up to 600 V without the need for potential transformers and is compatible with both 5-A and 1-A secondary phase current transformers. This control unit features eight digital inputs, five relay outputs, and one analog input and output, providing extensive functionality for monitoring and control. It operates on a 24-Vdc supply and includes an IRIG-B time-code input for synchronization. The FPS-CTU-03-00 is designed for surface mounting and is certified for hazardous locations, ensuring reliability in demanding environments. The unit is part of a modular system that offers 17 protective functions, including overload, ground fault, and voltage unbalance detection, making it suitable for comprehensive feeder protection applications. The conformal coating on internal circuits enhances durability against moisture and corrosion.
