Leader GT SRI style is a winding with an inner and an outer guide ring. A wide array of filler options are available and include high purity inhibited grade flexible graphite, expanded PTFE, Leaderfite, Ceramic, and LeaderTHERM for high temperature applications. Consistent repeatable load and density characteristics are built into every gasket due to our advanced automated winding and assembly equipment. Every Leader spiral wound gasket has a unique traceability number stamped in the outer ring to allow complete confidence in quality of materials supplied. All special alloys are 100% PMI inspected to insure proper materials of construction. Description: This gasket consists of a metal guide ring (or sometimes referred to as a centering ring) and a spiral wound sealing element with an inner ring to enhance gasket performance. Inner rings are required for gaskets with PTFE filler according to ASME B16.20 standards and considered important for flexible graphite fillers. The inner ring is normally made of the same alloy as the winding material.
