Larson Electronics LLC HID Xenon 25 Watt HID Flashlight with Push Button Switch On Head and Lithium Ion Battery ASX-25

Description
HID Xenon 25 watt HID rechargeable flashlight with 4000 mah lithium ion battery - 1500 lumens New push button switch enables operator to use the HID Xenon HID flashlight with one hand. Convenient MagLite format makes the HID Xenon flashlight easy to carry and hold. (A brief note about HID flashlights. Halogen incandescent flashlights have a bulb with a filament, much like the common household light bulb. A consistent amount of current is fed to the bulb. The filament glows and light and heat are produced. The filament glows because it is a poor conductor of electricity. Eventually the filament breaks. HID flashlights have a globe of gas that contains 2 electrodes. A spark jumps across the electrodes igniting the gas. Initially, the amount of current required to ignite the gas is high. Once the gas is lit, much less current is required to keep the gas burning. A device called a ballast, controls the amount of current sent to the bulb. HID flashlights use about 50% less energy, which means longer battery life than halogen incandescent bulbs and have no filament to break. Thus, the HID bulb life is around 5000 hours, compared to several hundred hours of the filament based incandescent bulb. The HID bulb is more efficient, so it produces much more light with less energy over a long period of time. The trade off, however, is that the ballast that sends current to the bulb is an expensive addition, driving up the cost of the flashlight.) Produces 1800 lux of illumination at 25 feet (4XD-cell Maglight produces 300 lux of illumination at 25 feet) Ballast driven 25 watt short arc HID bulb with fixed focus spot reflector (beam focus cannot be adjusted) Black anodized aluminum housing with rubber supports 25 Watt Metal Halide HID Lumens: 1500± Projection distance: Up to 3000' Color Temperature: 6500K± Run time: 120 minutes w/4000mAh battery Length: 13.5" Weight: 2 lb. Battery: Rechargeable Lithium Ion - 4000mah Power Switch: push button on/off Beam: 12 degrees fixed prefocus Rating: IP67 (Dust proof & waterproof to meters, limited duration) Light body: Black hard anodized aluminum Standard Charger: 100/240VAC 50/60Hz w/overcharge protection, LED indicator Included items: AC charger, shoulder strap, lens and end cap protectors, hard black molded travel case US and European compatible AC rapid charger (2 hour recharge) with LED indicator and overcharge protection LUX Measurements: At The Lens: 199,800 At 10 Ft: 7,160 At 15 Ft: 3,540 Lens Temp: 189 Degrees F Head Temp: 91 Degrees F Take a look at the military grade flashlight holder as an accessory for your Xenide.
