CD44 is a type I transmembrane receptor protein expressed in several cell types including T and B lymphocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, erythrocytes, fibroblasts, epithelial, and mast cells. This antibody exhibits a membraneous staining pattern and may be used to detect the CD44 standard and variant proteins in a variety of neoplastic tissues, including squamous cell and urothelial carcinoma.
