These Type 1 Firewire assemblies utilize L-com's CN1394L-1 latching Type 1 / 6 position connector on both ends of the cable. The latching connector provides mechanical retention to mating connectors providing a secure connection every time. The connectors are easy to un-mate by depressing the release mechanism.
