L-com's latching Serial ATA cable assemblies provide a secure connection every time. Serial ATA cables are replacing wide Parallel ATA ribbon cables in many applications. The Serial ATA cable is smaller, more flexible and therefore easier to route inside a chassis. With the trend toward miniaturization, these characteristics are beneficial in many product designs. The cables feature two shielded 26 AWG pairs in a PVC jacket, gold plated contacts and two straight polarized seven position connectors. Custom lengths are available with modest minimum requirements. Features Straight connectors for standard plug in Supports transfer rates of up to 6Gbps depending on the peripherals used Available in 8", 12", 16", 18", 24"and 36" lengths Tight pitch seven position connectors save space compared to larger parallel ATA connectors Used to provide secure latching Serial ATA connections Application Hard disk drives Data transfer External storage
