LP2 Model 4640 indicators provide continuous measurement of liquid inventory in storage or processing tanks. The LP2 indicator expresses output directly in engineering units. A factory programmed capacity profile (Datapack iButton) correlates transmitter output to actual tank geometry. The indicator then displays the resulting value directly as total weight or volume of liquid in the tank. The LP2 indicator reads the proportional 4-20 mA signal from a liquid level transmitter. The actual sensor used to detect hydrostatic pressure created by liquid depth can be either electronic or pneumatic (using an electronic pressure transmitter to convert the sensor's pneumatic signal into 4-20 mA output). LP2 also supports digital communications output via multiple RS485 serial ports using Modbus RTU or generic ASCII character strings.
