The 2894 is a surface mount locking coin cell retainer designed for a 12mm CR1220 battery. It features a tin-nickel plated phosphor bronze contact with a height of 0.095 inch (2.4 mm) and a length of 0.494 inch (12.5 mm). The mounting footprint measures 0.520 inch (13.2 mm) in length and 0.700 inch (17.8 mm) in width. It supports reflow and wave soldering, and the design allows toolless battery installation and removal. The retainer is compatible with vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place systems and is supplied on tape and reel per ANSI/EIA-481 standard.
