With up to 16 Tbps of bidirectional throughput today, the MX2008 supports 960 10GbE interfaces, 240 40 GbE interfaces, or 160 100GbE interfaces in a single chassis. This ultra-high performance and density makes it ideal for a wide variety of edge, consolidated edge/core, and core applications, including business VPNs, next-generation broadband multiplay, and high-volume Internet and data center internetworking.
