Due to the reduced bearing area in the T-slot, the load capacity is lower compared with T-slot nuts DIN 508. These tempered removable nuts have the advantage that they can be fitted from the top. They are especially efficient on long T-slots or where machine table layout prevents introduction of studs or nuts from the ends. Method of use: Fit from the top, then turn and check flush contact of nut in slot to ensure application of full clamping force. Keep slots clean to ensure accurate fit of nuts.
