This ferrite fits fillerless cable types 3x16 SJT and 3x14 SJT. This ferrite is overmolded onto the cable with a PVC compound. Ferrite material is Nickel zinc. Ferrite is used to suppress EMI from entering or leaving the equipment through the power cord or cord set. Ferrites have a medium permeability. Interpower recommends molding ferrites 4 to 6 inches from the strain relief at the equipment or the connector of a cord set.
