They are used in high performance military applications and are available in NVIS configurations (MIL-STD-3009), non-NVIS, and custom sizes. The modules contain all interface display drivers with a serial interface. Brightness is controlled by pulse width modulation (PWM), which is derived from analog brightness input voltage.
