3-Phase universal BLDC Motor Gate Driver IC for diverse voltage applications ranging from 8V~72V As the market strives for cars and trucks with better performance, manufacturers need to optimize the supply to automotive applications such as cooling fans, water pumps and wiper applications. In addition, as mobility with motorcycles and bikes is being redefined in the electric revolution, manufacturers of these applications need scalable and innovative solutions to insure safe and reliable mobility. The new Infineon MOTIX™ TLE9140EQW BLDC gate driver is the right product to design exactly these applications in 8V to 72V systems. The IC also perfectly complements MOTIX™ MCU TLE987x (e.g. TLE9877/ TLE9879) products allowing a scalable inverter solution from 8 – 72V to maximize HW and SW re-use. Furthermore, the innovative and small TS-DSO-32 packing allows for space and weight reduction on the PCB, which enables designing cost competitive application solutions. This compact BLDC gate driver IC is easily compatible with up to 3kW applications and even with higher performance classes depending on the overall applications design.
