The TLE4986C-XTS-M47D is a programmable Hall effect sensor designed for applications such as camshaft position sensing and speed measurement. It features True Power On (TPO) functionality, allowing it to operate reliably across various production conditions, including different magnetic configurations and misalignments. The sensor incorporates a dynamic self-calibrating algorithm to enhance accuracy during operation and offers individual switching thresholds that can be programmed via EEPROM. This sensor is housed in a compact three-pin package and is engineered to withstand mechanical stress, with improved immunity to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). It operates effectively within an extended temperature range, making it suitable for demanding environments, including electric vehicle drivetrain systems. The TLE4986C-XTS-M47D is particularly beneficial for applications requiring precise speed or phase detection of pole/tooth wheels.
The Infineon XENSIV TLE4986C is an active Hall sensor ideally suited for camshaft applications and similar industrial applications such as speedometer. Its basic function is to map either a tooth or a notch into a unique electrical output state. It has an electrical trimming option for post-fabrication trimming in order to achieve true power on capability even in the case of production spreads such as different magnetic configurations or misalignment. An additional selfcalibration module has been implemented to achieve optimum accuracy during normal running operation. It comes in a three-pin package for the supply voltage and an open drain output.
We offer three derivatives of TLE4986C camshaft sensors:
