The EVAL_EFUSE_POC_800V kit has been developed to demonstrate the proof-of-concept of automotive high-voltage solid state fuse (eFuse) for DC currents inside Electric Vehicles: due to the functional safety (ASIL-B) and diagnosis features now required for the new automotive E/E architecture, SiC MOSFET discretes and EiceDRIVER™ solutions are becoming more and more popular and gradually replacing the conventional systems based on pyro/melting fuse and electromechanical relays currently used in the power distribution.
