CAPSENSE™ MBR3 Evaluation Kit This kit is designed to showcase the abilities of the CY8CMBR3116 register-configurabl e CAPSENSE™ controller. It is also designed as an Arduino-compatible shield that supports various Arduino baseboards as well as other stackable shields available in the market. The CY3280-MBR3 EVK features four CAPSENSE™ buttons, one proximity sensor loop, LEDs, a buzzer, and an onboard USB-I2C bridge to communicate with the EZ-Click software tool, which configures the CY8CMBR3xxx controller. The CY3280-MBR3 CAPSENSE™ MBR3 Evaluation Kit can be used to evaluate the 3rd generation of Infineon's industry-leading register configurable CAPSENSE™ technology. The CAPSENSE™ MBR3 Evaluation Kit provides to users the industry's best CAPSENSE™ performance supporting CAPSENSE™ buttons, proximity sensing, water tolerance and many more features. The CAPSENSE™ MBR3 solution supports Infineon’s industry-leading SmartSense Auto-tuning technology, which reduces design effort by eliminating manual tuning due to variations in PCB, overlay, paint and manufacturing. Best Water Tolerance The CAPSENSE™ MBR3 solution features robust water tolerance capabilites, retaining CAPSENSE™ functionality in the presence of water droplets,streaming water or mist. Included in each CY3280-MBR3 CapSense™ MBR3 Evaluation Kit is a dropper for users to place water onto the plastic overlays to examine and evaluate the water tolerance features of the CAPSENSE™ MBR3 device. Best Proximity Sensing The CY3280-MBR3 CAPSENSE™ MBR3 Evaluation Kit supports the industry’s best proximity sensing capabilities. The kit board includes an onboard proximity loop that can detect a finger or hand presence. The CAPSENSE™ MBR3 solution can detect a hand or finger presence up to 12 inches (30 cm) away.
