Thermatool™ SeamScan™ software precisely positions Thermatool™ Seam Annealer inductors over the weld seam for applications requiring Post Weld Heat Treat with automatic seam-tracking. Available for single or multiple inductor setups, SeamScan software digitally processes thermal images of the product to locate the center-line forge weld. Positional data is then passed to linear actuators which position each of the inductors for efficient induction heating of the weldseam. This software is custom engineered for each application and operates through rotational variances of ±15°.
The SeamScan system utilizes a state-of-the-art thermal camera along with image processing technology to detect and display the welded seam.
