Harsco Industrial IKG’s (IKG) Weldforged® steel Railroad Gratings are made from extra heavy steel stock fused bar to bar to produce a rugged assembly that acts as one unit for maximum strength and high resistance to torsional stresses and strains. They are designed to last the life of the car without maintenance.
Serrated top bearing bars provide extra safety by adding a slip resistant surface and maximum open area minimizes ice, sleet and snow hazards. Available in Stock Panels or Custom Fabricated to your specifications for running boards, brake steps, end platforms, covered hopper cars, tank cars, box cars, locomotives and cabooses.
Approved by the Association of American Railroads (AAR) for Box Car applications with serrated bearing bars at 1.583" centers and cross bars at 4" on center.
