IHS ESDU ESDU TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM Comparison of surface pressure fluctuations in a turbulent boundary layer as measured on various flight vehicles TM 58

Description
An investigation has been carried out into currently available flight data excluding cases of highly perturbed flow and large pressure gradients. Data have collapsed well on the basis of non-dimensional power spectral density and Strouhal number. A prediction method has been derived for overall level of fluctuating pressure and its spectral distribution. This has been compared with a prediction method based on wind tunnel data.
