ESDU TM 167 reports on an evaluation of the Mumeter Mk 6, a continuous friction measuring device. The memorandum briefly describes the device and provides an analysis of test data obtained at the test facility at Nantes at which six different surfaces, typical of aircraft runways found in Europe, were used. A statistical analysis of the results gave an uncertainty at the 95% level of statistical significance of ±0.02.
