IHS ESDU Estimation of ground run during landing. PERF EG6/4

Description
ESDU Perf EG6/4 gives the equation for the ground run and suggests it may be solved approximately by assuming the decelerating force is constant at its value at a speed 0.7 times the touch-down speed. It also provides analytical expressions for any segment of the run in which incidence, drag and lift coefficients, and runway gradient are constant, the coefficient of friction or the braking at the wheels is constant, and thrust can be expressed as a quadratic function of speed. The expressions differ depending on whether the aircraft has a nosewheel or tailwheel undercarriage and, in the former case, on whether or not there is nosewheel braking.
