ESDU 96027 provides a program for calculating the unsteady local lift coefficient on an aerofoil section of the blade in subcritical flow. This forms part of the data input required by the propeller noise prediction program introduced in ESDU 95029. The orientation of the propeller axis is described by the Euler angles of yaw and pitch relative to the flight axis. The method is applicable to an aircraft on a straight, steady flight path that need not be horizontal. The input format is explained and a worked example illustrates the format of the output data.
