ESDU 91034 tabulates density and molar volumes for 17 halomethanes. The tables are in units of kg/cu m and cu cm/mol respectively at 10 K intervals from near the melting point to within a few degrees of the critical point. Although the Rackett equation does not represent the variation of density over the full temperature range so well as the equation used in ESDU 91034 (log reduced density as a polynomial function of reduced temperature), it is used to estimate the critical density. The log/polynomial equation was then fitted to the experimental data for density for each compound taken from a wide range of sources in the literature; values established for the coefficients in the equation for each compound are also tabulated. Estimates of the accuracy of the predictions are included, as is a list of the sources of data actually used for each compound.
