IHS ESDU Calculation of ground performance in take-off and landing. 85029

ESDU 85029 gives a guide to topics that are common to take- off, accelerate-stop and landing. No particular emphasis is given to the class of aircraft, powerplant, surface, or type of operation. A very wide range of technical and operational aspects of aircraft performance is covered together with the implications of the various airworthiness and operating requirements. Guidance is included on the forces and moments to be considered for the widest possible range of ground performance calculations and this serves as an introduction to ESDU documents giving worked practical examples of field performance calculations. Numerical data not covered elsewhere in the Series relating to a number of aspects of field performance are included, for example, shock absorber characteristics, thrust decay rate. A comprehensive basis for constructing the equations of motion for a wide range of ground performance situations is given in ESDU 85030.
