IHS ESDU Local instability of truss core sandwich panels under longitudinal compression. 80010

Description
ESDU 80010 provides buckling stresses for corrugated truss core sandwich panels under longitudinal compression for a range of truss geometries and different faceplate/core thickness ratios. Applicability covers panels in which the core and faceplates are attached discretely or continuously, with various degrees of translation or rotation between them, and the core height/pitch ratios are between 0.2 and 1.4 and faceplate/core thickness ratios are between 1 and 2. The buckling mode is defined and an example gives guidance on the estimation of the rotation stiffness of the joint between the core and faceplates.
