ESDU 77033 gives the results of some 200 fatigue tests taken from the literature presented as a non-dimensional alternating stress parameter (involving the stress concentration factor and material tensile strength) plotted against endurance. The data include axial and bending loading on forged bar, bending loading on rolled and forged sheet, and axial loading on machined cast specimens for which the effect of mean stress is also shown.
