IHS ESDU Drag of fighter-type canopies at subcritical Mach numbers. 67041

Description
ESDU 67041 provides a simple empirically-based means of estimating the drag of a fighter-type (bubble) canopy at zero angles of fuselage incidence and sideslip at subcritical Mach numbers. The canopy drag coefficient is presented as a function of two parameters accounting for the effects of canopy cross-section and length and the windscreen design. Data for flat and vee-shaped windscreens were used in developing the method.
