IHS ESDU Compendium of modal densities. Part 1: rods, beams and plates 11008

Description
The modal densities for rods, beams and plates are collected together to form a compendium. Sandwich panels with isotropic cores and shear flexibility, faceplate bending and rotary inertia, which have applications to honeycombs, are considered in detail. Programs in MATLAB are provided for the estimation of the modal density of a sandwich panel by, firstly, the model of Clarkson and Ranky and, secondly, by the method proposed by Renji and Nair.
