Extra Thin Wall Teflon Tubing, part number STL-#1, is designed for applications requiring flexibility and high-temperature resistance. This tubing maintains a maximum continuous operating temperature of 500°F (260°C) and operates effectively in a temperature range from -103°F (-75°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is constructed from lightweight PTFE, which offers excellent mechanical and electrical protection while ensuring that it does not shrink when exposed to high temperatures, such as those from soldering. The tubing is non-absorbent to moisture and features the lowest coefficient of friction among materials, making it suitable for various engineering applications. The standard color is natural, ranging from translucent to opaque white, and it is available in coils or spools for sizes with a nominal inner diameter of 1/8 inch and above.
Teflon TFE Tubing
STL is a lightweight, extra thin wall Teflon tubing that provides the performance properties inherent to Teflon at a lower cost. The lighter weight material creates a more flexible tubing without sacrificing the maximum continuous operating temperature of 500°F (260°C).
