HydroLynx Systems, Inc. Soil Moisture Sensor MODEL 3051

The Model 3051 Soil Moisture Sensor measures the dielectric constant of soil, which is directly related to water content. The probe consists of a electronic module encapsulated in one end of the cylindrical housing and a moisture sensing element. The sensor measures an 18 in. section of soil starting 1/2 in. up from the bottom. The sensor can be placed in any direction or depth but must be in direct contact with the soil. A temperature sensor may be added to the package.
