These HELUCOM ® fiber-optic cables are characterized by a stranded construction with jelly filling. They are made waterproof in longitudinal direction by filling a jelly mass into the stranding cavities. Above-average rodent protection is achieved with the metallic rodent protection (steel groove) and the second outer jacket made of PE. This construction is particularly used in the area of telecommunication and long distance where ARCOR standards must be followed, but also in regular channels and tubes where rodent infestation is possible.
