The S16101 is a back-illuminated CMOS area image sensor with high UV sensitivity, designed for applications such as UV cameras and machine vision. It has an SXGA pixel format of 1280 × 1024 effective pixels with a pixel size of 7.4 × 7.4 µm and an image size of 9.472 × 7.578 mm. The sensor supports selectable rolling or global shutter readout and achieves a maximum frame rate of 146 frames per second. It features an all-digital I/O interface with built-in timing and bias generators, amplifiers, and A/D converters, and communicates via SPI. The device is packaged in ceramic with a quartz glass window and operates within a temperature range of -40 to +60 °C.
High UV sensitivity
back-illuminated APS (active pixel sensor) type
The S16101 is a back-illuminated APS type CMOS area image sensor that has high sensitivity in the UV region. The pixel format is SXGA (1280 × 1024 pixels). In addition, imaging is possible at a maximum rate of 146 frames/s.
It is an all-digital I/O type with built-in timing generator, bias generator, amplifiers, and A/D converters. Rolling shutter readout or global shutter readout can be selected. Since the number of readout pixels in the vertical direction can be changed as you like, high-speed partial readout is possible according to the number of pixels.
