The R7447 is a side-on photomultiplier tube with a low noise bialkali photocathode, 8 mm × 24 mm effective area, and spectral response from 160 nm to 710 nm, peaking at 410 nm. It features a silica glass window, 9 dynode stages, and an 11-pin base. Maximum supply voltage is 1250 V between anode and cathode. Typical cathode sensitivity is 100 μA/lm and anode sensitivity is 1200 A/lm, with a gain of 1.2 × 10^7. Dark current is 0.2 nA at room temperature. Operating and storage temperature range is -30 °C to +50 °C. Weight is approximately 45 g. Suitable socket is E678-11A. Dimensions are 38.0 mm × 29.0 mm × 49.0 mm with a 32.2 mm base diameter.
