The R595 electron multiplier is a box-and-grid type detector designed for ion detection, with a 12 mm × 10 mm input aperture and a maximum operating voltage of 1500 V. It achieves a gain of 2 × 10⁶ at this voltage, with a dark current of 0.1 pA and a rise time of 16 ns. The first dynode is made of copper-beryllium oxide (Cu-BeO), and the device includes a mounting plate with the front plate at -HV and the rear plate grounded. The anode capacitance is 9.0 pF, and the maximum allowable anode current is 10 µA. Operation is recommended at vacuum levels higher than 10⁻² Pa. The device supports positive ion detection and features a built-in resistor network between dynodes.
Input aperture size : 12 mm x 10 mm, Operating vacuum level : 133 x 10-4 Pa
