The VCS10-023-BS-01-MCS voice coil positioning stage uses H2W voice coil motor NCC10-15-023-1X to generate a continuous/peak force of 2.3 lbs [10.2 N]/6.9 lbs [30.7 N] with a total stroke length of 1.0 in [25.4 mm]. The 1.0-micron resolution encoder allows for precise positioning. It comes supplied with a ball slide which allows for smooth motion. The motor coil is the moving part of the assembly in order to reduce the moving mass of the system. Power is supplied to the motor via a high flex, high reliability flat ribbon cable. This voice coil positioning stage also comes supplied with a thru hole, should your application require a hollow actuator. The voice coil motor has been mounted to the side of the bearing assembly in order to reduce the overall height and length of the system.
