The DigiRail-4C Digital Input Module from CAS DataLoggers is designed for integrating digital signals into supervisory systems. It features four digital input channels that operate with voltage levels ranging from 4 to 35V, with an internally limited current of 5 mA. The module supports a power supply range of 10 to 35 Vdc and has a maximum current consumption of 50 mA. Communication is facilitated through a 2-wire RS485 interface using the Modbus RTU protocol, allowing for configurable addresses and baud rates between 1,200 and 115,200 bps. The device includes LED indicators for communication status and a reset key for restoring factory settings. Isolation is provided at 1000 Vac between the inputs and power or communication, enhancing protection against ground loop effects. The module is configured using Windows-based DigiConfig software, which allows for calibration and diagnostics. The DigiRail-4C Digital Input Module with Modbus RTU communication interface provides a simple way for integrating analog or digital signal to supervisory systems. The DigiRail-4C features four digital input/counter signal channels.
The input signals are isolated from power, protecting the electrical instruments by eliminating ground loop effects. This substantially reduces undesirable interferences and instabilities in sensor measurements.
DigiRail Configuration is done via the RS485 interface by using Modbus RTU commands via the digital interface by using the Windows-based DigiConfig software.
The DigiConfig software allows for configuration of all DigiRail features as well as complete calibration and diagnosis. It automatically detects active devices in the Modbus network and permits configuration of all parameters.
