Most of Global's traditional products address customer loads in the range of 15W up to 5000W. However, if a customer has a remote power load beyond the reach of GlobalTEGs or GlobalCharge, the answer may be a GlobalPrimeGen. This new Global product line is designed specifically for larger loads.
PrimeGen is built around high quality industrial gensets (natural gas, propane or diesel) with extended-run oil sumps and sophisticated control. The entire system is housed in a self-contained climate controlled envelope, similar to GlobalCharge. It can also be installed in the same container as your own equipment as in our GlobalStation.
Our PrimeGen system can use sets of two or three gensets running in a steady, alternating pattern so that the load is shared equally among the units in normal mode. In the case where one genset is not able to run, the other(s) would automatically start or continue. A small ride-through battery is included to sustain the load for short periods during transitions. Systems can be designed for 6-month or one-year maintenance cycles as well as extended refueling cycles.
The gensets for a PrimeGen are used in a way that ensures the lives of the gensets and batteries are optimized. The system can be remotely monitored and controlled, including manual toggling, test starting and troubleshooting.
