Electromagnets or electrical holding magnets develop high attraction forces to flat magnetic materials. Most common versions need to be energized to develop force, like our EM series of electromagnets. The applications range from holding of ferromagnetic workpieces during machining or assembly operations, through door latching or holdback devices, safety mechanisms, to selector devices in textiles machinery. Because the field sharply drops with the distance of the counterpart, the flatness of the surface and a very thin plating are important features. This is also true for the optional armature plates.
Options for our Electromagnets are:
Ejector Pin: preloaded spring pin to overcome residual magnetism, reduces the holding force by about 10%
armature plate (ferromagnetic, nickel plated) as magnetical counter part to the electromagnets
custom windings
permanent magnet version (electrical release)
